addo update 2/21/18

There have been a few pieces in the press lately talking about our new location in Ballard.  Thanks to Eater and MyBallard for covering!:

- Eater Seattle article (click)
- My Ballard article (click)

Now that you've read both articles here's a little more information regarding the space at Royal Drummer.   This space has a lot of fluidity to it so we'll be having unique neighborhood drive events that are at a lower cost to the people coming in.  Additionally, we'll have a lot more chefs in the mix with their incubators, projects, and one-off experiences.

Does that mean that I won't be there a lot?  No, trust me, I'm everywhere, and managing multi-unit operations is kind of my thing so you'll be seeing a lot of me and team addo (we are growing!).

The Ballard space popped up out of nowhere with just a call from Jenn and Jill at Royal Drummer. They called to ask me if there was anyone else like me doing an addo thing and what they didn't know is I already had my wheels spinning for expansion on the idea.   Thing is, I want three more spaces in the Seattle area and I also want to take this concept to other states.   I feel like this is a concept that is needed where chefs can make a name for themselves and work within a space where they can use addo as their proving grounds in a positive way.  Know any chefs that want to get in the mix in Ballard or Capitol Hill? LET ME KNOW!

addo is like LiveNation.  A booking agent where we handle all the logistics, spaces, and all that other stuff.  We want to find great artists to play shows at our venues and then highlight them in all forms.  I've used the comparison of being like a Netflix as well but that will be on the actual space level where you can just choose whatever you want for whatever fits you at the time.  It's exciting and it's something that I will keep pushing for as hard as I can while putting together Lechoncito and Silva (yes, it's all happening).  addo will help work as investor for those projects so I don't have to seek investors and when it comes to helping other people with their projects addo will be able to do the same.

So yeah, addo Ballard at Royal Drummer!  Here we are! (click)

The booking site is live now with all new cooking classes, Lechoncito nights, a movie night, and so much more on the way.  It looks really bare compared to the addo other addo site but never fear, I'll be adding a ton of new experiences as we go and I'll be updating you here weekly so stay tuned.  So excited!!

Lechoncito - NEW DATES ADDED!

This is the name of the restaurant that I will be launching for Puerto Rican food in Seattle.  It's been a process so far to dial things in and get to a point where I can see there is actually a demand for Puerto Rican food here.  Growing up in Olympia there wasn't any options for it and currently there is just one Puerto Rican restaurant in Seattle so I think it's time for another so more people can have rad food.

FOCUS MENU - Thursday dinner series

I'm constantly looking at what sells, what doesn't and how to keep things new and exciting.  Frankly, the 15 course tasting menu doesn't sell well on Thursday's and it makes complete sense why.  I'm going to be featuring a 7 course menu that ranges between $65-$85 + tax + service charge that gives me even more flexibility but dials in a specific theme for each.  What themes you ask?
